I’d like to be an inventor when I grow up

My name is Nick Driscoll, and this is my blog.

I was born and raised in Columbus, OH, and I have been obsessed with learning how video games and computer programs “really work” since I was old enough to hold a controller.

After studying computer science at OSU and serving time as a DevOps engineer for four years 🤮, I am now employed as a software developer at LunarG working on GFXReconstruct: a suite of tools for capturing and then manipulating a program’s graphics API call stream, compatible with both Vulkan and DX12.

In my own time, I develop game prototypes and simple for-my-own-use game engine libraries with the new and exciting, yet elegant and refined Odin Programming Language and, of course, Vulkan.
